REALTOR® Code of Ethics

For 100 years, REALTORS® have subscribed to one of the oldest codes of ethics for trade associations in the country. The Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) defines the bylaws by which REALTORS® must oblige in both performance and service.

You can view the code of ethics using the link to the right.

New Member Training

New members of The Columbia Board of REALTORS® must complete New Member Code of Ethics Orientation training within 30 days of joining the Columbia Board of REALTORS®. The National Association of REALTORS® requires members to complete Code of Ethics training every three-year cycle. However, Primary members of the Columbia Board of REALTORS® are required to complete Code of Ethics training every two-years while they maintain membership with CBOR.

Please plan on 2-3 hours for this online course. You will be able to save and go back to your training session, but you must complete the course within 30 (thirty) days of joining CBOR, or access to member services will be restricted.
